Be Fresh, Go clean!
In some places in Tondo we can notice immediately the canals that are contaminated. The purpose of these canals are to become a passage way for waters that came from certain sources like drainage of sinks and etc.
Instead of having a proper way of drainage, this canals are now blocked and some are clogged due to those garbage that serves as barriers for the water to flow.

The photo above is a photo of a canal in tondo. This canal if not cleaned may become a beehive for mosquito's to live, also bacteria and other substances that may give birth to certain diseases might be in this particular canal.
Possible Reasons of having a contaminated canal
I. Improper disposal of garbages
II. Unclean surroundings
III. Some people have thrown their dirt in canals due to lack of comfort rooms and sewage in the area.
STAND AND GRAB A LIGHT!
We can solve this problem starting in our own. cleanliness starts within us so start cleaning the surroundings around you; in this way we can encourage everyone to clean the surroundings, specifically the contaminated canals.
Next is you can start a campaign about cleaning the canals in your area. Have it approve and recommend to the public. This might actually work because everyone will benefit it too.
Lastly, is use your voice to influence even the youth or the elder ones. Everybody can be a part of your campaign and no canals will be contaminated again. By this, the community will be happy and healthy. A community that is happy and healthy, loves and lives.
